There were loads of kids with health problems that were just over the moon to meet Batman in person. This totally made the many hours of work worth it. Take the foam out and then hold it into place of where it belongs.
Center it so that you have an open area around that section . You should be seeing a yellow bat and a yellow oval line- and the rest of the logo will be covered with paper. Obviously, the easiest way to make your superhero costumes is to buy the t-shirt already made. It’s easiest to use a long-sleeved t-shirt, but you can make it work with short sleeves too.
Making the Boots
It should be the all-black bat symbol and there should be nothing around it. Put the polar fleece gloves on over the sleeves of the long-sleeved shirt. Pull the polar fleece boots on over the leggings.

I love exploring all kinds of craft, dreaming them up, starting them and hopefully finishing them. Most importantly I love sharing my craft with the world on a regular basis. With a family of 4 kids, a couple of alpacas, a dog, loads of chooks, a bunny and a husband, my heart is full. This was meant to be another homemade Christmas present but I don’t have the heart to take it from him.
Making the cape, gloves, trunks, and boots
This will be used for Batman’s belt loops on the pants and utility belt. Also, add a piece of velcro to both pieces so that it is easy for headgear attachment later on . Make sure both edges are straight and even in width at this point!

A superhero’s footwear is probably the easiest part of making a superhero costume. The type of footwear you create depends on the activities you may perform on Halloween. If you plan to trick or treating, boots are ideal, while sports socks, duct tape, and felt boots are suitable for indoor activities. Ideally, match your supersuit’s color scheme with the original superhero costume’s color to make it easier for people to guess your identity.
Steps
You can use a cape template or freehand cut the cape. Cut one end of the rectangle so that the folded side has a semi circle cut out about 1 ½ inches from the top and the non folded side has a rounded corner. The semi circle should be wide enough for your neck.

Some of these methods take considerable time to complete. Purchase duct tape in the color that you want your boots to be.
23) Take 1 strip of black thin velour fabric , sew them together on two short ends with a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Then iron down any creases seen from folding up. This will be used for Batman’s belt buckle loop . As you will be wearing this costume at a convention or performance event, it is best if you wear layers under it to make it more comfortable. I recommend wearing black fabric pants and a t-shirt since they are the same color as the actual costume underneath.
Cut 2 pieces of fabric in the calculated shape, and with right sides together, sew across the bottom and down both sides. Superhero boots are actually quite easy to make using polar fleece. You’re basically making two tubes of fabric that you wear over your shoes. For one of my Batman capes, I sewed pleats into the top of the cape by folding down some fabric over itself right before sewing over the fold. I didn’t do a lot of calculation, and just made the pleats as I went along . Most superheroes wear their capes down to their knees or calves, but kids may be uncomfortable with a cape that long.
Are you aware you can build a top-tier superhero costume from the comfort of your home? You can use a dark metal or black coloured belt and it should have square pockets on the sides to hold the gadgets of Batman. Also attach a Batman logo at the centre of your belt. If you spray the EVA foam directly with spray paint, the paint will crack and look bad fairly quickly. Plasti-Dip prevents this from happening.

Next, put glue on the foam and the velcro and let sit for at least 30 sec. to get a little tacky. I left the pieces together for this. I used cardboard as a buffer to not dent the foam. Let sit the appropriate amount of hours. After this is secure, you are ready for the next step. Once the paint dried, I ironed on the freezer paper piece that corresponds to the “yellow” section, the part that goes around the black bat over the paint.
The leg/thigh pieces were a bit more complicated. Once cut out, the designs need to be cut into them. These should come up just below the knee. There shouldn't be any sort of lace or strap on the boots. Batman doesn't have time to deal with that.
